A warm welcome to my blog. My name is Callum McLaughlin and I was born and raised in Scotland. I work as a freelance writer, producing primarily online content to be used for blogs, websites, magazines and such like.
I love my job and my biggest hope is to be able to increasingly focus on my own creative writing. I took the first small step on the long road towards this when I published my debut novella, The Vessel, in 2013. I followed this with False Awakening in 2014 and then Seeking Solace, my first collection of poetry, in 2015. I hope there will be many more to follow in the future.
This blog will document little snapshots from my experiences working as a writer and self-published author. I hope it will therefore appeal to anyone who works – or hopes to work – within the same area but also to anyone with an interest at all in books, writing, publishing, poetry or if you just fancy keeping up to date with what I’m working on. Thanks for visiting; I hope you stick around and like what you read.
