About

85 Hello! My name is Callum, I live in Scotland, and I’m a big fan of cats, tea, and Carrie Fisher.

I work as a freelance writer, producing content for blogs, websites and magazines. I’ve also had poetry and short fiction published in several journals, both online and in print.

It’s fair to say I love all things bookish. I’m currently a reviewer for BookBrowse, and you can expect plenty of reviews and recommendations here on my blog as well.

More recently, I was bitten by the embroidery bug, so I will also share the crafty projects I’ve been working on from time to time – most of which are put up for sale over on my little Etsy shop.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Writing is the best occupation ever! Congratulations on publishing a book – I have a feeling there will be many more. Thank you for sharing your writing here on WP. πŸ™‚ I’ll try my hardest to visit again soon.

  2. I’m glad that you liked my post “Watering our words,” and that you will visit often. By the way, I read your post about your notebooks and writing style. I, too, have notebooks scattered about and tucked into any bag I am likely to carry – just in case. I do quite a bit of research, planning and character development before I start writing. However, I’ve found it simply to be a starting point. Like yours, my characters reveal more of themselves as I write.

    • No problem at all. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I feel the very same; however much I may plan certain things, it’s when I start writing that the creative juices really start flowing πŸ™‚

      • Thanks for continuing to read, and I’m glad that you like “Focus on the important stuff.” My days seem to slip away, and sometimes I can just see those grains of sand funneling through the hourglass. Hopefully, I’m on track now to do the stuff that matters.

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog and the follow. I browsed some of your post, and you have very poetic prose. I’m looking forward to exploring more. πŸ™‚
