  1. It looks like you’ve read a lot of really good books this January! I completely agree with your review of Girl, Woman, Other – I thought it was really interesting how Evaristo writes in a poetic/prose crossover.

    • It’s fair to say my reading year got off to a good start! I hope yours did too.

I’m glad you enjoyed Girl, Woman, Other as well; it’s certainly deserving of all the praise it’s been getting.

  2. 9 books is pretty impressive! If you keep it up, you should exceed 100 books for 2020. I am tempted by Without Ever Reaching the Summit and On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous.

  3. Congratulations on a great start! I’m an admirer of your reviews, but in wrap-ups you do a really great job of relaying the plot and the strengths and weakness of the book in a few short, succinct lines. ☺️ “Follow Me to Ground” is on my TBR, but I wasn’t sure about it because of it seems highly allegorical in nature. Glad to read that you thought highly of it. I have yet to do my own wrap-up, but my favorites were “Nothing to See Here” by Kevin Wilson and “How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy” by Jenny Odell. 🙂

    • Thank you so much! Follow Me to Ground probably won’t be for everyone, but it’s such a uniquely captivating read that I’d recommend giving it a go if you’re at all tempted. 😊 I hope you have a great reading month in February!

  4. Such a good start to the year! I’m so glad you liked Girl Woman Other, and having just finished Follow Me to Ground I very much agree with your thoughts on that one. I hope you have another great reading month ahead! 🙂
