  1. I am always in awe of your reading speed! I was happy to see that you read more non-fiction, since it is a favorite of mine.

One 2020 reading goal I have is to continue to alternate between what I own and what I buy. I’ve been to several conferences in the past two years and came home with a suitcase full of books from each one. I started this in November and I am going strong.

  2. Good luck with your reading goals! Interesting to see your reading split on gender of the author. I haven’t done similar statistics, but I’m sure I would be biased towards female authors as well. Like you it isn’t a conscious choice though.

  3. I love seeing all your monthly graphics together at the end of the year, it’s so satisfying!

Here’s to great books in 2020 and an irresistible Women’s Prize longlist 😏

    • Thanks! A play made it into my top 10 reads in both 2017 and 2018, so I hope to read a few this year. I would have liked to pick up another Shakespeare or two last year, as well as Faith Healer by Brian Friel and A Doll’s House by Ibsen.

      Do you read many plays?

      • I read even fewer plays than poetry (i.e. maybe one a year). I should read more. I have the complete works of Shakespeare which I’ve always been planning to read 😀

  4. Pie charts are always so pleasing for stats, and I love that you include every single book from the year! I’m definitely looking forward to more WP buddy reads as well, and hoping for a better reading year overall in 2020. I hope you find some all-time-favorites this year!

  5. Nice work man, astonishing work to be honest! I finally NEED to read more in 2020, 2019 was nowhere near what I wanted. It’s mainly because films take over but I’d love to spend more time away from the screen….

      • Indeed! As I spend most of my day staring at a screen either at work, or then out of work with the website, I need a ‘proper’ break! I’ve literally got a pile of books waiting to go. Good luck to both of us! 😉

  6. My 2019 was awful for reading…. Ha ha! I’m hoping to turn that around!! I read some amazing books, don’t get me wrong. I just didn’t read ENOUGH of them!! Here’s to an improved 2020!!!

  7. I wonder if I make things harder on myself by wanting to take a photo of every book I read that I plan to share on the blog. It’s from my bookstagram life. Anyway, great year but I do hope 2020 will allow you to find some books that you love or can’t stop recommending to everyone.

    • I often think committed bookstagrammers must spend hours setting up, editing and uploading pics. If only I had the patience, haha.

Thank you! I hope 2020 brings lots of great books your way!

      • Lol, I do like trying to stage a nice picture with tea of course but I think what gets me in trouble is having too many photos (out takes) and trying to decide what photo to use.

Same to you! Looking forward to getting back on track on the blog and sharing reviews or other fun stuff this year
