  1. Finally, someone else who feels the same way about Chamber of Secrets… but I’d like to add that they made the movie far too long too!

  2. I love your answers! I also get annoyed at the glorification of Richard Harris’s Dumbledore – I think he would have been really out of place with the tone of the later films. Kind, grandfatherly Dumbledore is just one minor aspect to his character. That said, I don’t like Gambon very much either, I think his performance came off as overly cold and hostile at times, though I completely agree that people go on about that one line too much. Anyway, I never really saw Dumbledore portrayed on film in the way I’d have liked!

I love all your animal answers too. I’d love Care of Magical Creatures…. as long as it’s not taught by Hagrid.

    • That’s a good point. I like the warm, grandfatherly nature of Harris’s Dumbledore, but the fierceness (when appropriate) and eccentricity of Gambon’s, so it’s hard to say that either was perfect, as both captured different elements of the character and arguably lacked others.

Thanks again for tagging me! I always love the chance to chat all things Potter. 😊
