  2. I didn’t grow up with video games and it was only a couple of years ago that I became somewhat interested in them. One of my friends became my ‘tutor’ and one of the first games he started me off on was Resident Evil 😍 Absolutely love Jill. She’s a strong character and not only that, she’s a character in her own right. Like you said, she isn’t relegated to the role of love interest. Great post! ☺️

    • Not being a huge gamer either, Resident Evil was definitely one of the series that really hooked me and got me more interested in video games in general, so your friend picked a good one there 😊 It’s great to see how well Jill’s popularity had lasted, especially considering that she started out as a female lead in a horror franchise 20 years ago, which in itself was a major rarity.

And thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the post 😊

      • Yeah. It’ll be interesting to see where Capcom will take the series from here because of VII’s success. Will they still have campy, scary fun or will the entire franchise shift toward a more grounded horror experience?

That said, would you like to share your articles in our FB group? We’re a growing community of gaming bloggers and we’d be thrilled to have more writers share and discuss their work. Just search for “Game Bloggers United” on Facebook.
