This wanderlust it shakes my bones,
the temptress of the Earth.
Her oceans sparkle in my eyes
as flowers bloom within me.
My feet are rooted to her soil,
planted like a tree.
I’m reaching out with open palms
towards her faultless land.
Perhaps they’ll catch a falling leaf
swept up amongst her breeze.
A ticket to the riverside
to begin my long dreamt voyage.
Snatched from me by selfish hands,
we know them oh so well.
A life without leniency,
the world will have to wait.
