I’m thrilled to accept the Liebster Award
I am incredibly flattered to be able to say I’ve been mentioned with regards to another blogging award. This time it is the Liebster Award courtesy of Mel over at Featured Fiction. I’ve been blown away by the welcoming nature of the WordPress community so I’m delighted to accept the award and in turn pass on my own nominations. Here are the guidelines as I understand them:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. Nominate 11 other blogs with less than 500 followers.
4. Post 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
5. Tag your nominees & post a comment on their blog to let them know you nominated them.
In light of this, here are my responses to Mel’s questions:
1. Morning or Night
Night. I have major sleep issues so I’m used to being awake well into the early hours anyway and tend to try and use this time as productively as I can. In the morning I’m usually finally asleep or desperately wishing I was.
2. Batman or Superman
Batman. I like the characters within Batman’s world more (Catwoman, The Joker, and so on).
3. Pen or Keyboard
I would love to say pen for nostalgia but the keyboard wins in most cases simply because of convenience.
4. Pancakes or Waffles
Pancakes. I always used to have pancakes as a kid when I went to stay with my grandparents so they remind me of being young and happy.
5. Twitter or Facebook
Twitter. I find it more interactive and it’s so much easier to connect with like-minded people.
6. Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings
Gosh, this is like Sophie’s choice. I think ultimately I would have to go with Harry Potter as I’m part of the generation that feels like they really grew up with the books. JK Rowling is an author whose unhinged imagination and ability to tread genres far and wide truly inspire me. I’m a big fan of the movie adaptations as well.
7. Tea or Coffee
Tea. This is a nice, simple question for me as I have never liked coffee. (Shocking, I know).
8. Talking or Texting
With friends, definitely talking. I’m not great at meeting new people though so must admit emails and texting come in very handy at times for a relative introvert like me.
9. Hot or cold
Cold. Feeling too warm is one of my pet peeves because it always seems no matter how hard you try, you just can’t cool down. I would much prefer to be cold and simply cosy up with a blanket or warm sweater. Plus I live in Scotland; I’ve become fairly used to the cold by now!
10. Books or Movies
As a freelance writer by trade and aspiring author I would of course have to say books. (I do love a good movie on the side though, but let’s keep that to ourselves).
11. Cats or Dogs
Sophie’s choice round two… I am such an animal lover and have both a cat and a dog as pets. Cat’s probably reflect my personality more; a lover of socialising when with company they love but just as happy to tuck themselves into a corner and do their own thing every now and then.
Huge thanks again to Mel for the nomination and the great questions. Now onto the blogs I would like to nominate (in no particular order) and the questions I would love for them to answer. I’m going to borrow Mel’s idea of either-or style questions if I may, as I like the fact that responses can be as brief or detailed as you like. Some blogs mentioned I have been following for a long time, others I have only very recently discovered but in all cases, I look forward to hearing more of what they have to say. There is no obligation to take part, just know I’ve been enjoying your posts and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.
